I have just downloaded new patch from origin and game was going fine.

By default the game only shows the short wall height items did.
Things you can t do include smooth horizontal placement or more than one window per wall segment.

If you are planning on utilising free window and door placement in a build it could be a good idea to wait until you are happy with your window and door placement before painting the walls.

From your description it sounds like you want to place a 2 tile wide window centered on a 3 tile wide wall.

Holding alt should give you smooth vertical placement for windows if we re talking about sims 4 here.

I keep getting this only one window or door per wall segment but i am on a totally different floo.
However i am on the 3rd story of my house and i cannot place a window if there is a window on the lower floor directly below it.
The window category has i believe 3 options for most windows and doors so that they are suitable for each wall height.
